For Students

Mentorship Lunch

On the second day of the conference, CSDH hosts a mentorship lunch for graduate students and emerging scholars to chat with more senior colleagues in the field.

This is a low-stakes, friendly environment where you can discuss your work, learn more about DH, and get to know the community more generally.

Ian Lancashire Student Promise Award

Every year, CSDH/SCHN awards the Ian Lancashire Promise Award to the best student paper at the conference. This must be a solo paper about the student’s own project, as stipulated by Lancashire at the award’s inauguration.

The winner (announced on the final day of the conference) receives a small cash award, a certificate, and an opportunity to submit their work to our peer-reviewed journal, Digital Studies / Le champ numérique.

Student Travel Funding

Funding assistance is available for grad students travelling to CSDH from outside of the Greater Toronto Area.

Applications are available at this form.
